A Fun-Loving Guest Book

I have known Emma and Eric since Middle School, and I have fun-filled memories with both of them. From Little League softball games to sharing car touch-up paint in high school to sorority gatherings in college, these two have always been genuine and warm friends. I loved making their Guest Book for them and being a part of their wedding even while living so far away!

The first page of Emma and Eric’s book was reserved for the wedding party. I love it when these pages are included because of the way it highlights those chosen to play special roles in the service.

Emma and Eric first met way back in 5th grade. With a mutual love of Harry Potter, it seemed natural to combine Snape’s famous “Always” quote with a drawing of them back in Elementary School. Their friendship turned into something more at the end of college. Emma joined Eric and some other friends at a bonfire one evening and the two hit it off!

Song lyrics can make the most meaningful pages—especially when the first dance song is included! “Lucky” by Jason Mraz emphasizes the friendship on which Emma and Eric’s relationship was built while “Let’s Stay Together” by Al Green looks forward to their future together.

Emma and Eric also enjoy camping together, and had one incident involving a sneaky raccoon that got into their campsite and trash! Another camping trip led to a walk along the beach where Eric proposed. Emma of course said yes, but they had a little fun tricking the friends who had gone camping with them by hiding the ring and pretending that Eric had lost it in the ocean! We also included their pets on one of the pages, inspired by one of their engagement pictures.

Finally, two scripture readings were included in the book. The first reading was paired with sunflowers because Emma and Erica enjoy exploring the sunflower fields in Northwest Louisiana each summer (which are so cool, if you ever get the chance to go). The longer reading was given a page to itself and worked perfectly as the last page in the Guest Book!
